Our Stay At Punta Quintay

Finally, a blog about the Airbnb everyone couldn’t wait to hear about! We had so many people thinking this beautiful place was somewhere in California, and to be fair, it did look like it could’ve been in Malibu. This loft-style Airbnb is hanging over a cliff, looking right over the ocean with beautiful mountains in the background. As soon as we walked in, my jaw dropped. The views were gorgeous and the space itself was so clean, bright, and pretty.

Vic found this place and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to stay here. It worked out perfectly because the dates available were Vic’s birthday. It was such a peaceful place, we were in heaven! I could’ve easily made our entire trip just here at Punta Quintay. When we landed and picked up our rental car, we drove about 40 minutes to get here from Santiago.

During our stay, we decided to keep the windows open and we slept peacefully listening to the ocean all night. This was truly the little vacation we needed before the rest of our busy, exhausting travels. It was so refreshing to have a break from our fast-paced, chaotic life.

Windows and natural light are so important to me, Punta Quintay had the most amazing lighting ever! Everywhere in South America has unpredictable weather so we got to experience a gloomy, cloudy day and warm, sunny days. Also a forewarning, the beach is freezing cold, colder than California beaches and had a ton of dead jellyfish on the shore!

The cute little house at the end of the pathway belongs to someone that works for the Airbnb, so it was nice to know there was someone nearby that was available to help with anything. This was also close to our private beach access.

Included in this Airbnb was Wifi, a small kitchen, a terrace with beautiful ocean views, and our own beach access. There was also an outdoor space to cook and grill. Also, if you are in need of transportation, the staff can help you get a taxi.

As you can imagine, people from all over travel to Chile just to experience this beautiful place. This experience was like no other, and I highly recommend the detour if you’re like me and love breathtaking views and memorable experiences. I’d love to visit again one day!

You can drive about 5 minutes away to eat fresh empanadas and seafood. You could also visit Valparaiso about 1 hour away, which I would recommend doing. Overall, we felt very safe here and the Airbnb staff were all so kind and helpful.

If you’re looking to experience Chile in an authentic yet peaceful way, visiting Quintay and staying here is the best option. This Airbnb was really such a special place and I highly recommend visiting at least once. The people are very nice, the views are amazing, and it’s such a peaceful, beautiful place to be.
